IBM PS/2 Floppy Disk Drive 34 pin adapter
This adapter converts the 34 pin floppy drive cable used in the IBM PS/2 computers to a standard floppy cable used by modern floppy drives, as well as the Gotek Flash Floppy Emulator.
The IBM PS/2 floppy cable has 5V power running through it so you can’t connect it to a modern floppy drive. Doing this will fry your IBM and floppy drive!
The adapter breaks out the power pins to a 4 pin molex connector.
Note: Take note of the orientation when connecting the adapter to the Gotek/Floppy Drive. See photos for how to connect to Gotek.
I’ve tested this adapter on my IBM PS/2 Model 30-286 connected to a Gotek drive and it works flawlessly.
This adapter is not for systems that use a edge connector.
