5517 (2048 x 8) bit Static RAM Tester
This tester is used to test 5517 Static RAM chips (2048 x 8) and also works with any of the 5517/6116 compatible RAM chips.
Only the 24 pin wide versions of these chips can be tested in the ZIF socket.
Included:
1 x 5517 SRAM Tester
You will need to connect it to a 5V source using a USB Mini Type B cable. (Not supplied)
Usage:
- Please the chip to be tested in the ZIF socket (Make sure the orientation is correct)
- Apply 5V power to the tester.
Tests will begin and take approx 30 seconds to complete.
The following tests are performed:
- Test for HIGH and LOW Stuck bits
- Bit walking
- Write random data to RAM and verify
If a error occurs the Fail LED will repeatedly flash a number of times:
- 1 Flash – Failed verifying if any bits stuck HIGH
- 2 Flashes – Failed verifying if any bits stuck LOW
- 3 Flashes – Failed verifying bit walking
- 4 Flashes – Failure on verifying random data
