Commodore 1581 Replica
For sale is a Commodore 1581 Replica PCB which has been fully assembled and tested.
The PCB is a clone of the original board design with a few modifications and is compatible with the original case.
Placement of the ports and switches are in the original locations.
The PCB has been fully assembled with new chips (Apart from the chips that are obsolete) and features:
- Newer 27C256 EPROM i place of original
- 62256 RAM chip in place of original
- Firmware 318045-02
This has been fully tested on my Commodore 64 using a physical floppy drive as well as a Gotek drive.
Note: To use this on a modern 3.5 floppy drive you will need to modify the floppy drive and you will also need a 3.5″ to 1581 floppy adapter PCB (Which I will start selling shortly)
Included is only the fully assembled PCB.
This excludes any cables, power supply, case and drive.
